When Jesus appointed the apostles, He called the poor and the rich, laborers and math nerds, the well-educated and fishermen, the religiously devoted and religious outcasts… even political enemies who probably  spent their whole lives hating one another… Jesus’ call in our life is bigger than whatever we are living for… following Jesus is more important and has greater consequence that whatever else we love and care about.
